Seth is a sweet, kindhearted boy who has spent all his life in the peaceful town of Nibelheim. He makes friends easily and is very considerate of others - sometimes almost to a fault. It is not always easy for him to accept his mistakes. 

Aerin is cheerful, optimistic, talkative, and compassionate. Though she has grown up peacefully, she has trained herself well in the use of a staff and, when it really comes down to it, is very brave. She will not flinch from what she knows must be done, no matter the danger.

Faris is a freelance sailor, owner and captain of the light cargo ship Tycoon. She won't usually take passengers, but there are exceptions - in fact, this is how she met Vincent. She gave him a ride once, several years ago, and since then their paths have crossed and he has ended up on her ship so many times that they have become rather good friends. Faris is easygoing and good-natured, with a temperament just about as predictable as the sea.
